Why Does The Milky Way spin
The Milky Way is called a barred spiral galaxy. A barred spiral galaxy is a spiral shape with stars going across the middle. Our galaxy is about 1.5 light-years in diameter. That makes it the second-biggest local group of galaxies. All of the mass, stars, gas, and other objects are all spinning too. The crazy things is that Milky Way is spinning at 168 miles per second and it takes two-hundred-million years to make a full rotate.
